  Bad breath is called halitosis in dentistry. Bad breath is a serious problem that causes people to turn away from you, no matter how well-groomed you are. It negatively affects both private and social life.
 

 

To get rid of bad breath:

  Gum diseases and dental caries in the mouth should be treated. Oral and dental health should be taken care of, teeth should be brushed with a fluoride toothpaste at least twice a day and floss should be used once a day. While brushing teeth, the tongue should also be brushed. Care should be taken to care for the prostheses used. If you still complain of bad breath after the interventions on your mouth and teeth, it is necessary to investigate other reasons.

 


THE CAUSES OF ODOR OTHER THAN THE ORAL ENVIRONMENT ARE THE FOLLOWING:

• Infections originating from the sinuses, bronchi and lungs can cause bad breath.
• In diabetes, an odor similar to acetone occurs in the mouth.
• Liver and kidney failure causes bad breath.
• It has been stated that metabolic disorders can also cause bad breath.
• Especially in children, bad breath can be seen in the morning due to intestinal parasites.
• Bad breath may occur due to irregular eating in dieters and fasting people.
